Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
ViralCuts is a web application operated by APT4 Tecnologia that helps users find public video references, create AI-assisted short clips, and optionally schedule or publish those clips to their own connected social accounts. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect information when you use the service.
Use of YouTube API Services
ViralCuts uses YouTube API Services to operate features such as connecting your YouTube channel, reading basic channel information, uploading user-approved videos, and retrieving public counters (views, likes and comments) for videos you have published with the service. By using ViralCuts you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. For information about how Google collects and uses your data, please review the Google Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
- Account information you provide: name, email, password (hashed), selected plan, billing-related identifiers.
- Channel and video workflow data: imported or uploaded videos, generated clips, captions, titles, descriptions, scheduling information, processing status.
- Google and YouTube authorization data when you connect a YouTube account: OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, the Google account email used for the connection, the YouTube channel identifier and name, the scopes granted by you, and the public counters (views, likes, comments) for videos you have published with the service.
- Technical and usage data: server logs, API responses, request identifiers, error messages, IP address, browser, device and operating system data, feature usage events.
- Information stored on your device via cookies, browser localStorage and similar technologies (see "Cookies and Local Storage" below).
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above strictly to operate, secure, debug and improve ViralCuts: to authenticate you, to communicate with the Google / YouTube APIs you have authorized, to upload and schedule the videos you have selected, to display your own public counters (views, likes, comments) for videos that you published with the service, to manage your plan, credits, billing and support, to detect and prevent abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use Google user data or YouTube API Data for advertising. We do not use Google user data or YouTube API Data to train generalized machine-learning or AI models, and we do not allow our third-party AI providers to do so.
How We Share Your Information
We share information only with service providers that are necessary to deliver the service you have requested, and strictly for that purpose, including: cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (server hosting, databases, file storage), email delivery providers, payment processors, transactional logging providers, and AI / large-language-model providers used to generate clip metadata and captions.
When you connect a YouTube account, the application communicates with Google APIs according to the OAuth scopes you have granted. We send to Google only the data needed to perform the action you triggered (for example, the video file, title and description you confirmed for upload).
We may disclose information when required by law, legal process or to protect the rights, property or safety of the service, our users or the public.
Cookies and Local Storage
ViralCuts stores information on your device using browser cookies, localStorage and similar technologies. These are used to keep you signed in (session token and account identifier), to remember interface preferences, and to maintain in-flight state while you use the application. The application also relies on standard web technologies that may set cookies for security, fraud prevention and basic analytics required to operate the service. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings; clearing them will sign you out of the service.
Data Retention
We retain account, video workflow and authorization data while your account is active and for the period needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and maintain reasonable operational records. Generated short clips and intermediate processing files are retained on our servers for a limited operational window (typically up to a few days after generation) and are then automatically removed.
Public counters and statistics fetched from YouTube API Services for videos published with the service are displayed, refreshed and retained only within a maximum thirty (30) day window. Data outside that window is automatically deleted and is not available in user-facing reports. These counters are also deleted when you disconnect the YouTube account, when you request deletion, or when your account is removed.
How to Revoke Access and Delete Your Data
You can disconnect your YouTube account from inside ViralCuts at any time. Doing so deletes the stored OAuth tokens, the related YouTube channel identifiers and the cached public counters for that channel.
You can also revoke ViralCuts' access to your Google account directly from the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en or from the broader Google account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access there will immediately invalidate the tokens stored by ViralCuts.
To request deletion of your account, your connected-account tokens, generated files or workflow records, contact us at apt4tecnologia@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data, including access controls, server-side storage and transport-layer encryption (HTTPS).
Google API Services User Data Policy
ViralCuts' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13.
